COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Supported Living guidance

Update from Egalite

As we move towards the easing of restrictions in England in July 2021, we are faced with the new challenge of supporting people back to activities. There will be new obstacles to overcome in the balance between enjoying life and staying safe.

About 80% of our staff team have now had both vaccines and many of our clients have been supported to get theirs too.

We await updated official advice to guide us on the next part of this journey. Once we have this we will share it to ensure all our staff understand and follow the very latest COVID-19 guidance for community care and supported living settings.

The wellbeing of our clients and staff remains our highest priority.

We continue to have a good supply of Personal Protective equipment. In recent months this has been available to order via the Governments portal but we are aware some changes may be coming. The Infection Control Grant has been very welcome and enabled us to create safe outdoor visiting areas at most houses.

We have continue to hold fortnightly virtual meetings to share good practice and offer guidance and support to each other across the company. We join local networks of other providers to share good ideas and support each other through these unprecedented times.
