Here at Egalité we work closely as one big team, supporting each other and ensuring that our care services are effective and of very high quality; this is very important to us. All the managers at Egalité have worked in health and social care over many years. They bring a wealth of experience with them from a wide range of services, which gives our clients and their families the best level of professional, yet friendly, care.

Registered Manager – Debbie Clark

Debbie is the Registered Manager / Provider and Company Director of Egalité. She is a Registered Nurse in Learning Disabilities (RNLD) and has over 40 years’ experience working in a wide range of settings including within the private sector, voluntary work, and working for the NHS. Prior to setting up Egalité, Debbie also worked for West Sussex County Council as a Manager.

Operations Manager – Alison Williams

Alison, like Debbie, is a registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience in the management of nursing care services and has a diploma in Dementia care. Her main role is to support the team with day to day care related issues and deputise for, and support Debbie, in the day to day running of Egalité.

Service Manager – Helen Sanderson

Helen has over 30 years of experience in the care sector and has achieved her Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management. She leads on the overall staffing allocation, and planning the support requested by clients or their representatives. Her main responsibility is rota management.

Head of Care – Gemma Wetherill

Gemma’s role is to support and, when required, to deputise for the Registered and Operational Managers (SMT) to provide the leadership and management of care to ensure that personalised care is provided to our clients. Gemma has worked for Egalité since 2010 and during that time has gained a wealth of experience and achieved her Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management.

Compliance and Governance Manager – Paul Davis

Paul’s responsibilities include ensuring Egalité complies with its outside regulatory requirements and internal policies. As part of his role he will review data management and use of equipment for this purpose. Paul has a wealth of experience in social care. He is a qualified social worker and was the Social Work Manager for West Sussex Community Learning Disability Teams both in the North and Coastal teams.

Training and Development Manager – Clare Johansen

Clare is the first contact for training related enquiries and maintains an overview of training opportunities and qualifications achieved. Clare can advise and support staff to explore options available to them and funding related to training. Clare is also one of our Mental Health First Aiders.

Office Manager – Gemma Keys

Gemma is the Office Manager and Company Secretary within Egalité. Gemma is the primary lead for the administration team and oversees the roles of others in the office, but is specifically responsible for the finances of Egalité. Gemma holds an AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, as well as qualifications in Property Management and HR.
